Cape Cod RV Parks on the Ocean
The wife and I are looking into an early fall trip to Cape Cod. It's been a lot of years since we were there last and it wasn't by RV. It's long past due since I had some good New England Clam Chowder.
Anyone have some favorite places to stay thats on the ocean? Need a place to accomodate my 38' Motorhome.
Regards,
RovinOn

Peter's Pond in Sandwich was a great park with a huge lake and clean quiet spots that can accept big rigs. Some pull thru spots also, fifty amps available. I plan on a return this year. A great fish house near by and a great seafood eatery. We got an 8 pound lobster at the fish house steamed by them and had a feast at the RV. You won't be disappointed at PP.

Sounds great, but the wife has already booked us for Cape Cod Camp Resort, I hope this place is just as good.
I'm only hoping now that they are in good shape after Irene.
Your Lobster feast sounds about what I'm looking for!

RovinOn, I was just at the Cape and Irene did very little damage. Upcoming Katia may be a different story. Good thing you are not planning to go to Vermont, it looks like a war zone. You will love Cape Cod in the Fall, much smaller crowds, no wait at the good restaurants and many friendly people. I live in NH. Your Fall trip next year should be to NH and Maine, also very beautiful in the Fall. WinniJim

That sounds like that could be a plan for next year,,,No offense but I'm kinda tired of heading South.
Never been to New Hampshire, Vermont or Maine.
I'm really hoping for good weather the last week of September! These current storms are getting a little old! I really feel for the folks really effected by them!

Just got back from Cape Cod Camp Resort in Falmouth. Great campground, nice people, clean paved spots. I will return for sure.

If you are looking for a place on the ocean you cant beat Scussett State Park in Bourne,Ma. The campground faces the ocean on one side and the Cape Cod Canal on another side. Its close to the Bourne Bridge which will take you to Hyannis and other parts of the cape. Being a state park it has water and electric. There is a dump station available and all the sites are paved. Plenty of places for great seafood. Cant go wrong with Seafood Sams or Lindseys among other resturants.
