Shawme-Crowell State Forest

Give them a call.

If you go to Plymouth the Plimoth Plantation is a great take. Prepare to be disappointed or underwhelmed when you see Plymouth Rock.

Have a great vacation. Eat more lobster.

Hi jerichorick, i did call them at 508 888 0351 but got a recording re. the snow fall and park conditions but no human to talk to? I lived in the area near the cape for 75 years and know it well and stayed at shwame with a smaller rig many times. Thanks paul

I'll swing through there on my way home someday and see if anyone is around (that is, if I can get into the park through the 4 feet of snow still on the ground here).

Being in sunny cal I forgot that campgrounds in that area are closed for the season. I still have a house in Lakeville. My son tells me the snow is well over the top of the car. It may be May before things thaw out. I don't miss it for a minute.

Have you tried a Google Maps view? That might give you some information. But you can't beat jplante4 offer. jplante4. Great gesture of RVer unity!

Thanks jplante4, I know what ya mean as it took ten yrs to convince thedw to get out of mass.. On ra web site i can reserve a site using 30ft as my rig's size but i am 33ft and it wont take anything over 30? Like i said i have camped there many times before in a smaller rig? Has anyone stayed there in a unit over 30 feet? Thanks paul

A really neat tool. Download Google Earth (not Google Maps) its free. Find an aerial view of the park and desired site, then click on TOOLS and RULER. This allows you to use your curser to measure length in feet. This is a great way to review sites in advance.
