Cardinal Farm RV & B

We found this little bit of heaven on Earth by searching RV Park Reviews and accidentally chose Franklin, NC. What a find. We decided to try this wonderful idea of a RV and B...something different and definitely not a campground. Cardinal Ridge is owned and operated by Ken and Kathy, 21 chickens, 3 geese, 3 dogs, honey bees, numerous deer and turkey. They have 7 sites on their farm in the mountains. Ken will take you on a tour of the farm, Kathy will be glad to cook breakfast on request (for a fee) that is all organic from her farm....and OMG! Thats all I'm going to say about her breakfast...the girl likes to cook! Worth every penny!
If you are looking for a campground with a pool and all the amenities, this is not for you. BUT, if you are looking for peace and quiet, watching the deer and turkey every evening, watching the sun rise and set over the mountains, lots of local things to do (Ken and Kathy will give great ideas for places to eat), wonderful owners who treat their guests as friends, we would highly recommend this wonderful place in the mountains. We originally made reservations for 4 nights...that has now changed to 6 nights. And our reservations for Fall are already made.
Full hook up sites, free (yes free) laundry and owners that are also RV'rs..they have done it right. No cable, but were able to get several channels via our antenna, but we mostly enjoyed sitting outside, walking the trails with the dogs, and my very favorite...watching the lightening bugs at night!
We love to share positive things about RVing, especially when someone has put a great deal of time, energy and passion into their business.
Safe travels everyone...hope to see you at the farm...
