We stayed just outside of the city limits of Carlsbad at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground. It's about 18 miles to the Cavern and a nice drive. We enjoyed our 3 day stay...it's a Passport America park but I think we only got one day at 50%. The park road was freshly paved last summer. CG personnel were most helpful. Bob

There is an RV park at the turn off to the Caverns. I cannot recall the name but just know that there is and maybe you can find it online. We stayed at a KOA north of Carlsbad and we were over 35 miles from the Caverns.

I believe the one near the caverns turnoff is White's City RV.

White City looks pretty dumpy. Stay in city of Carlsbad.

Another vote for Carlsbad RV & Campground. Easy drive to the caverns going south or into town going north. We used a pull through since we haul a 30 foot trailer and didn't want to unhook. Just off loaded our car. We spent most of our time exploring and used the RV park just for a base-camp.

Do NOT stay at White City. I can't believe they would call that anything but a Junk Hole!

Not that far from the Caverns and still within reasonable distance from the shops in town.

You can look forward to your visit - this is a spectacular place. If you plan to visit several National Parks it could be worth looking at buying an $80 annual pass at this time. We did and have made good use of it.

Since you're planning to visit Sequoia and Yosemite NPs, you can NOT miss King's Canyon...it's the one NP that completely took us by surprise... Bob
