Hi DoubleJ73,
I've stayed at Ho Hum just down the road. The area is a nice place to chill out. The only advice I can provide is no matter where you eat, do not try the Key Lime pie. Of all the places I've had Key Lime pie that area has the worst looking and tasting Key Lime Pie on the planet. Well, maybe the Key Lime pie I have in Vermont was worse, but the Carrabelle area was close to being in last place.

We also stayed at Ho Hum down the road, nothing special. Carrabelle Bch RV Resort was much nicer, but also pricier. It was directly across the street from the sandy beach, Ho Hum had no sandy beach at all. Carrabelle Bch had a pool and easy access.

I am interested in following this thread as my family had a vacation home in 3 Rivers when I was growing up and I only remember a very small beach in Carrabelle. I would love to go back to that area sometime. Please post how it turns out.

Did not stay but drove through the park. Looked like it might be a nice place. We stayed at Ho Hum, an adults only rv park a few miles out of town. We like the Carrabelle area but if you are looking for excitement you may be disappointed. There is not much activity there.

We were there last in September, just in time for a butterfly migration that lasted several days. We also had a bald eagle land next to our site, and watched the dolphins in the bay. A black bear surprised us on a walk one day. Carrabelle is a fishing town so much of the fish available in restaurants was swimming earlier in the day it becomes your dinner. Enjoy your stay.
