Hi All,

My wife and I are interested in Central FL for this coming winter (Dec, Jan, Feb and March). We are thinking of spending a month in each campground to check out each area for a possible relocation from VT.

Cable TV is important to us since we like to get Internet access from the cable company so we have the reliability and bandwidth to be able to work and use our VOIP Phone. We have used WiFi in the past but most campgrounds don't seem to care if there system goes down or how bad the signal is (if you can get it at all) to your site when they claim to cover the whole CG (I'll be in the Tech Forum soon to talk more about this).

Thanks for any and all help!

'Central Florida' constitutes a pretty large area, from Tampa to Melbourne ..... Any plans on which coast, center of state, etc.
East Coast, look at Outdoor Resorts in Melbourne, Space Coast RV park, etc. Center look around Orlando, like Tropical Palms or Disney's Fort Wilderness. West Coast Rock Crusher RV Park ... plus a million others in between

Hi Rob and welcome to iRV2. Like Ed mentioned can you be a bit more specific. Central Florida is very large. Tampa to Melbourne for West to East. Clermont to Okeechobee North to South. What do you like to do, when camped? What are some boundries for our recommendations? Some things to consider are:
1. peace, quiet and tranquility
2. socializing and party
3. CG activities
4. extra cost activities outside the CG
5. fresh, salt or no water nearby
6. rent or purchase
7. metro or rural area
8. price you are willing to pay

Please give us your top five lifestyle needs and I'm sure there will be many responses.

Hi Rob,
You are right about the beer, campfire and friends. We've found that most of the campgrounds in Florida have cable, so you should be okay. Several years ago we stopped in Leesburg at the Holiday RV park and were impressed with all the activities. A lot of people had boats and had access to the lakes, two pools and one was indoors, most campers walked or rode bikes, saw few golf carts - very active group of people. Mt. Dora is a cool place to visit as well as the Villages, not too far from Orlando.
A little north there are several nice campgrounds if you are interested. We love the panhandle!
By the way, we lived in Fletcher, VT in the late 70's.
Linda
