Central IL to Santa Fe, where to stay

We're heading out tomorrow for Joplin, Mo. then to Canyon, TX, then towards Sante FE, NM. Looking for a good place to land for maybe a week. Have a 40' Phaeton with car dolly. We may continue West after Sante Fe but unknown at this time. I already looked through some of the threads and found several things to do around the SF, Albuquerque, Taos areas, so really looking for decent RV places. Low $$ would be a bonus! Thanks for your forthcoming replies.

x2 stayed at Sata Fe Skies before. There is also a casino with hookup at near the four corners. You are also within distance to hit Branson. Keep your eye on the weather in the Alley.

Santa Fe Skies is the place. It's winter there.... make sure they're open and watch the weather. Santa Fe is not cheap. For a more reasonable place but a little ways out is Cochiti Lake Corp of Engineer park but again, check first to see if they're open. Public parks usually close for the winter.

We were in Santa Fe Skies this past summer and it was very nice. If I go back to Santa Fe, I'd stay there again.

So far, seems like Santa Fe Skies is the place. Looking at the weather and since we're really just winging it, I think we'll keep an eye on the weather while at Palo Duro SP, and if not too cold when we head out, head towards Santa Fe, otherwise we may head more towards Phoenix (warmer). Thanks for the suggestions so far.

We prefer the trailer ranch resort. Less wind and dust, specially in the Spring. Also there is a new resort near angel fire, but there may still be snow coming.
