We have been to Seattle twice in our MH. I have never been able to find anything decent. Last time we stayed t North of Seattle. Location was great but the CG is just a concrete lot with lots of slope. To make things even worse there are lots of permanenets. Families on welfare!! We are not fussy. Just want a safe clean spot with hookups and WiFi that can handle a 42 ft. MH. Would prefer no further than 30 miles from Seattle. Thanks.

Lake Pleasant RV Park in Bothell. about 15 miles east of Seattle. A pretty spot on a lake that was once a gravel quarry. Metro Transit bus service into Seattle from just outside the gate. RV Guide listing says "Big rigs welcome".
Since we're relatively local and actually used to live in Bothell, we've never stayed there, but it's had lots of positive vibes from folks on here and on RV.net. They don't seem to have a website of their own.
From the current on-line Trailer Life Directory there's also Issaquah Village RV Park. That's just off I-90, east of I-405 and about 15 miles from downtown. There's probably bus service there, too. It might bo too small for your rig.
Further options from TL-online:
Seattle-Tacoma KOA in Kent - about 25 miles south of town
Lakeside RV Park, Everett - about 34 miles north - fairly good bus service to Seattle.
Sorry, I can't give any specific recommendations as we live too close to ever have stayed at any of these.

If you decide on the KOA make sure you call about what you are getting and how the reservations and payment goes. Friends went there last summer to be close to medical treatment in Seattle. They had big hassle with manager.. Further details if the op needs them.

Here's another vote for Lake Pleasant RV Park. Last summer, we stayed there two nights before and two nights after taking an Alaska cruise out of Seattle and stored the rig there the two weeks we were on the cruise. Staff was friendly and helpful. Storage was only $3 a day which included 15 amp electric to keep the refrigerator going. Would not hesitate to stay there again.

Lake Pleasant RV Park in Bothell has been recommended to us by a few friends. I would stay away from Maple Grove RV park in Everett! A great location but the sites are narrow and nowhere near level. I couldn't get the MH level no matter what I tried. When I asked the office to move, they told me that was all they had open. Because we were so out of level, the door would not open. I had to take the handle apart to open the door and we couldn't lock our door after that. We cut our visit short because of the unlevel spot and they refused a refund for any of the unused nights.

Thanks everyone. I had heard stories about that KOA a few years ago. I avoid KOA's if possible.

We have been doing this RV thing for 17 years and have NEVER been to a KOA that we liked. Maybe we just missed the good ones. Got to be someone with postive experiences.

I have been to some wonderful, memorable KOA's. Petaluma, Grand Canyon KOA (which sadly was destroyed by fire) and Circle of Pines KOA in Williams. Santa Cruz KOA was nice (not perfect but better than anything else in the area) Saint Rose KOA at Glacier National Park East is worthy of mention.
It's a franchise...some of fantastic, some are good, some are just up to franchise standards.
As for the thread...Near Seattle, there is a campground called "Rest A While" along the Hood River Canal. It's been a few years, but it was lovely, and we hope to return soon.
We'll be staying in Portland in June.
Enjoy.

We have used Rest a While a half dozen times and it is great , no diagreement there. But, it is a long way to Seattle from there.
I will admit to using less than 5-6 KOA's, should have learned our lesson after the first two. Glad you have had good experience with KOA

The problem with the Petaluma and Cloverdale (Sonoma County, CA) KOA's are the prices. By the time they add $6 each for all of the extras, it is $75 per night and more. The KOA in Willits (100 miles north of Petaluma) is very good and getting better all the time. New owners have spent a lot of money on upgrades and it is a family oriented place.
