CG in Banff National Park

We are planning on arriving at Banff National Park on June 4th for 4-5 days. Any input as to a good place to stay would be appreciated.

We checked out the website for Tunnel Mountain Trailer Park but that looks so crowded and parking lot like. Anything better in the area?

We liked Tunnel Mountain Village 2 B and this was our site, B70, Sept. 2012. We where at the end of the row, but the whole row on this side had this view. Seven days there was great. Book ahead for June. Sites are end to end on each side of each street.

We stayed inside the Park @ Lake Louise Trailer CG...IIRC. 30 amp service but no water/sewer at the sites - but available. We had a site right on the Bow River and had GREAT view of the mountains. We like full amenities, but didn't mind because of the location. The CG is centrally located to town and attractions.

Thanks everyone. We decided on Spring Creek RV Resort in Canmore, right outside the park because DW wanted full hookups for our weeklong stay.

You've picked one of the most beautiful places on earth! I used to live in Calgary and went to Banff at least once a month. Kananaskis Country is not far from where you will be camping and is worth a hike.
Lake Louise is a must see. The Banff Springs Hotel and Lake Louise Hotel are beautiful old Rail Road built hotels. The Columbia Ice Fields are also within reach. So much to see, You will definitely want to return. The Rocky Mountains are way different there than in the US. Way bigger!

We stayed at Tunnel Mountain a few years ago. It did not seem crowded. Very convenient to the town of Banff. Our section was setup more end to end than side to side. We hade full hookups. There were community baths/showers if desired. The site was gravel and the DS was exposed to the road. I would go again--for longer this time.
