CG near Topanga Canyon, South of the 101, Los Angeles

Son and his family moving to LA - South of the 101 in Topanga Canyon. So we antisipate making multiple trips there. I see the Malibu RV Park right on the coast. Any experiences to share there, or other nearby suggestions?

Thanks!

We stopped once on a trip without the motorhome so we could check it out, took the 5 cent tour and it looks nice, great location. Good luck

You should probably look at the rvparkreviews.com site for reviews on Malibu RV, expensive and some very strange behavior by owners/workers. They get poor reviews from other workampers that have worked there. There's not too much close to Topanga Canyon, Walnut Rv is in Northridge, between the 101 & the 118, we've stayed there, clean & decent. Birmingham is in Van Nuys, also clean & decent. There's a Ventura county park in Simi Valley, Tapo Canyon, that has full
hookups, it's north of the 118. Ventura has Ventura Beach RV park, full hookups $55 a day. If you can boondock there are state parks along Pacific Coast Highway, no hookups, Leo Carrillo and Thornhill Broome, both close to Malibu and McGrath in Oxnard, north of Malibu. Good luck!

Update: We have now stayed at the Malibu RV Park three times. Expensive, yes - but great views. Good experieces with staff and facilities. Headed there again in a couple weeks.
