Looking for a CG on W, NW or SW side of Atlanta that can handle a 45' motorhome Just for a couple of days.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

I have searched now for almost 3 years for one and I have found very few. There are state parks with limited hook-ups and a few full time parks. I am looking for one close to Newnan, SW of Atlanta, for a short stay myself. I am a patient at CTCA and would like to bring my RV instead of staying in a hotel. Good luck and safe travels.

Little Tallapoosa is a county park that is less than 10 years old. They have pull through sites, 50amp/water/sewer. It is about 8 miles south of I-20.

Holiday, Whitetail Ridge, R Schaeffer Heard, are Corps of Engineers parks and have spectacular sites on West Point lake about 30 minutes from Newnan down I-85 in LaGrange. W+S and good dump facilities. Lake sites.

Pine Mountain RV resort just below LaGrange on US27

All about 60 minutes to ATL airport for reference

There is a newer state park (Chattahoochee Bend) outside Newnan. Some folks like Chattahoochee bend- I don't - but it's probably because the West Point lake parks are so much nicer

We stayed at the Atlanta South RV Resort for a several days while attending a meeting in Atlanta, back in January 2015. More than adequate for overnight stops, but not a destination. Check the reviews and decide for yourself. We would stay there again.

We stayed for a few days in April while passing through. We would stay again. The staff was very friendly.
