I will have a couple of recommendations closer to the Atlanta area with very good views (both are close to I-75 and on Lake Allatoona) Red Top Mountain State Park or Sweetwater COE park. Both have good hiking in or near by with excellent views of the lake and you are less than 45 min from the heart of Atlanta.

As far as Atlanta goes, Stone Mountain Campground can accommodate any type of RV. Mathew McCauntary (spelled wrong) actor stays at this campground when he is in Atlanta.
