Check in after hours

I have never checked in an RV campground after the office is closed. And tips or advise on how to do so? Thank you.

Call in before the office closes and let them know your ETA. Each park has a different procedure for late check-ins. In my park we leave a map outside with information you need. We may choose a site for you in an area that will make it easier for you and for your neighbors. If you make an attempt to be as considerate as possible, most people will appreciate that and not be upset. It's the inconsiderate ones who cause all of the problems.

I am just the opposite. I rarely check in before the office is closed. Most of the parks have a late check in kiosk and do like mrebele says and leave a packet out for you, if you call ahead. I try to get parked, shut everything down, get leveled, and connect to utilities as quietly as possible. I don't think I have ever upset anyone, that I know of. I have even stopped and unpligged my backup alarm when i knew I would be a late arrival and have to back in.

I have on occasion just dropped on after hours. If there is a number to do so, I call it. If no number I just go find a empty space and go to the office early the next morning to sign in and pay. On the off chance that you are in someone else's assigned spot and they come in after you, be prepared to move or maybe negotiate.
