We have stayed at this campground in Collage Park MD. several times and allways enjoyed it. This past week end, that was not the case. The staff was pleasant as ever when we checked in. When we got to the site we found it to be tight and there were dog droppings in abundance on our site. We managed to get in and set up, then went to the office to request they have someone clean up and they promised they would. They never did. The sites on both sides of us had household furniture ouside with plastic and duct tape coverings. One site had 6 coolers and a small freezer outside. It did not feel as though we were in a resort. I know I should have requested a different site as soon as we got there and I accept part of the blame for putting up with the conditions. But I do feel that the campground should be continiously monitoring themselves to avoid these conditions. The dog droppings continued to increase whenever we were away from the site. We brought our complaint to the office and they were very sympathetic but took no action. We ended up leaving a day early. They did give us our money back for the night we left early, which I didn't expect, but that was all.

I don't know if this indicates a lowering of their standards, but I thought I would post this in case others have a similar expierence there.
