Cherry Hill Park

We just spent 8 nights at Cherry Hill Park in College Park, MD. A great place to stay while you are visiting the DC area.

If you don't mind drycamping then consider Greenbelt National Park. It 16 a night, half off with your seniors pass. You can drive around the corner to the metro. We live it and use it at least once a year when visiting our kids in Chevy Chase

Cherry Hill Park is great. Stay there frequently since my daughter lives in DC. Very convenient for sightseeing in DC via bus/metro.

Have done this one several times and will do it again this coming summer. Only draw back was one year wood ticks were really bad. As far as the park it seems hard to believe there is such a nice remote feeling park so very close to the capitol.

Check the weather. Appears Joaquin is moving straight up the Chesapeake into DC.

Great park. Just ask to not be placed backed up to the freeway. If so, you won't need an alarm clock to wake you up every morning. Great food at their restaurant also.

Their free breakfast waffles are pretty good too. We stayed there some 5 days in August.
