Chesapeake Bay resort- Gloucester, VA

Has anyone stayed there?
We are looking for a place to get away end of May that is 4-5 hours from southern PA.
I like how it is on the water and the video review looks pretty nice. Our previous trip to VA was a stay at First Landing State Park. It was very nice. However, we are looking for something privately owned with more on-site amenities this time.

I believe it is a membership resort operated by Thousand Trails......correct? Do you have to be a member to visit?

This place looks pretty neat! I believe even a 10 and 13 year old could have fun there.

Fishing is great At Rockahock.....

Here is another one to look at with the kids in mind...... Jellystone Park at Gloucester Point - Family friendly campground in Gloucester Point, Virginia we visited before it turned in to a Yogi Bear Park. We stayed out near the boat ramp, end site, near the water as you can see, this was high tide! site #115

We haven't stayed there, but have you tried Cherrystone Campground in Cheriton, Va. It is about 10 miles north of the Bay Bridge Tunnel. Nice family campground.

I agree with other post about Rockahock campground. Very nice place. Great restaurant that you would not believe is at a campground. Have plans to stay there twice this season. Super sites have nice water views and are worth the extra few dollars.
