Chicago to San Francisco

Chicago to San Francisco - Is the damage done in the summer floods all fixed on I-10 in AZ and CA? Anything else I should know about Memphis-Texarcana-Abilene-Las Crusas-Pheonix-Bakersfield-SF route? Thanks.

I can only say the washed-out bridge on I 10 has been replaced and is open. I recommend perusing this website for current road restrictions and construction: National Traffic and Road Closure Information | Federal Highway Administration

Alternatively you could stay on I-40 out of Memphis all the way to Barstow, and take Hwy 58 over Tehachapi mountains into Bakersfield. Might be a bit colder on I-40 vs I-10 though. I-40 is a very significant trucking route, so it usually stays open, even in winter weather.
