Cincinnati Zoo is one of the top zoos in the country. A must see on your list!

Great...Are there any deals as far as admission prices? At the Cleveland Zoo, Mondays are "free"....

If you're a member of another zoo, you usually get a discount but I don't know what that is. If you're a member of AAA, admission is $11.50 (regular adult adm is $14).

Also, it's $8 to park.

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

Would hope for some type of discounts; just Google Cincinnati Zoo. Most of my family that live there buy the family memberships and go year round, so I'm not sure about discounts.

The USAF museum is interesting and I would like to see it.
But is there a good RV park to stay in the Dayton/Cincy area . The reviews I read on them were really poor. I would think that at least one park would be nice?

Buck Creek State Park is 33 Mi from the Museum. Absolutly stay away from Enon Beach unless you like gun battles and crack cocaine!

the NMUSAF is an absolute must if you are even close to the area, there is plenty of room to park any size rig. One day someone will wise up and see the potential and open an RV park close by, could be a gold mine!

Post trip report: Did the Air Force museum, Kings Island and the Zoo. Had to plan our week around the rain that was hit and miss all week. Everything turned out fine. The Air Force museum I could have spent 2 days at. I couldn't believe all the planes inside in air conditioning.

Found Kings island to be just great except for the food pricing . Made a mistake in thinking some indoor roller coaster was going to be a tame one, in fact is was ^%$@!)&R$4@N*....I should have known when they called it "Flight of Fear". The little girl sitting next to my wife said "this is the roughest ride in the park". I was wondering why they were strapping us in with lap belts and shoulder restraints. Before we knew it we were shot out like a cannon into the darkness in all sorts of directions.

The zoo was more compact than the Cleveland zoo. Most of the pathways were well shaded. There were a lot of people for a Saturday, but the place didn't seem crowded....

The Stonelick State Park was about 30 minutes from Cincinnati. The campgrounds has about 110 sites. about 100 with electric service. About 80% are level and most sites are full or semi shady. About 4-5 sites are lake front. There were maybe 20 or 25 RV's camped during the week, but the weekend was nearly full. A large sign by the office said "It is a rule do not park your vehicles on the grass". On the weekend there were a average of 2-3 cars on the grass per site. Some sites had 5 cars parked in and around a site. Humm??? The sites on average were nice sized, but some people had 3-4 tents per sites or a trailer and 3 more tents. The showerhouse was so-so, could have been kept cleaner....

Great report! We will be heading towards King's Island mid-August for a company outing. Considering making a week out of it and staying at Beechwood Acres or Cedarbrook Campground. We definately need to stop at the Air Force Museum one day!

Couldn't help but laugh about your description of Flight of Fear! LOL We are all coaster junkies in my family, so yeah we like that one!

You can have that ride..... Over-all it was not very crowded for a Thursday. The longest wait was 15 minutes....
