Have a trip planned to the Cincinnati area in June. Was wondering what there is to do as far as attractions. The main reason will be to go one day to Kings Island amusement park. Other than that, we have 7 nights at Stone Lick State park located about 20 miles east of Cincinnati. What is the Cincinnati Zoo like. My neighbor suggested something about "Indian serpent mounds" some where in SW Ohio....
After a week here we will be traveling east for another week at Hocking Hills State Park in SE Ohio. Been there many time, as there are plenty of things to keep ya busy....

If you feel like driving to Dayton (not that far), the Air Force Museum is outstanding. And it's free!
If you're into flea markets, there is Trader's World is right off I-75 in Monroe (north of Cincinnati). Treasure Aisles Flea Market (formerly Turtle Creek) is right across the interstate.

Hi Superslif,
Consider the Creation Museum. Go to Creation Museum - Creation, Evolution, Science, Dinosaurs, Family, Christian Worldview | Creation Museum and read about it. It is a full day of entertainment and activities. There are a couple of different restaurants one can eat at right in the museum.

Lebanon Mason & Monroe RR
Serpent Mound in Peebles
Loveland Bike Trail ( not YOUR bone-jarring, heart-attack making mountain bike trail - more MY speed )
Ride The Ducks - Newport (can get to it from Newport on the Levee. Take the 10AM ride & save $$)
I won't even suggest a Reds game - you better be an Indians fan.

Yes. Stonelick SP is about 1.5 hrs from the museum at WPAFB. Probably the fastest way to get there would be to get on the outerbelt (I-275) near Milford & take that NW to I-75 & go north. When you get close just follow the signs. Well worth the drive though.

The Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal is phenominal! There is the terminal itself, the I-Max Theater, Cincinnati History Museum, The Duke energy Childrens Museum, (really a huge playground-learning center), and the Natural History Museum. The Place is huge! One, two or three days to do it right. Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal
There is the Newport Aquarium. Number One in the US! Lots for kids and parents to do. www.newportaquarium.com
Now, isn't it strange? We drive all the way to your area, to camp at our favorite SP, Punderson!
Safe Travels!

FYI, Stonelick is an interesting lake to fish. Hope you can bring a boat or canoe.

Cincinnatti is a major city in Ohio and thus there are lots of things in the area.. You are not all that far from Dayton either and it's attractions which include, as I recall the Wright Patterson museum (Air Force)
Seriously, when you get to the campground stop by the lit rack and pick up a pocket full of flyers.. There is so much to do in an area like this (I'm in that area just now) it's amazing.. I'm about 20 miles past Kings Island in Wilmington OH just now.
One of the "Toys" in my collection is a 3-d Camera, this camera is a film camera takes 4 photos at a time on 35MM film using 2 frames (of film) per photo, the negatives will process normally and will product half size photos (Same height but only half as wide) 4 at a time if you want 2D photos.
I used it on the reflecting pool in front of the 1/3 size scale model of the Efiel Tower Very nice.

Been there done that. Only 2 restrooms in the whole place. Security had an in controllable police dog. Which means a lot when u travel with a service dog. Security said our dog could not go potty here. Go way over there for him to go. Then their cucontrolable dog was taken to go where we were told not to go. By the way, we do clean up after him anyplace we go with him.
In a nut shell. Not really impressed. Sorry
