Cincinnati to Louisville KY
We are heading south to see our new grandaughter in a couple weeks. Does anyone know of a decent place to stay the night between Cincinnati and Louisville KY? Thanks

Follow the River in Florence, IN is pretty nice. General Butler State Park, Carrolton, KY and Little Farm on the River in Rising Sun, IN, are some other possible choices.

I can second General Butler. Little Farm on the River is more out of your way, but the lower sites that back to the OH river are nice. You can see photos of both in my photo albums (link in sig).

Looking at your pictures I see you have visited Maumee State Park in Ohio. We have stayed there before and really liked it. Thanks for the info on General Butler. It was one we were considering. Thanks

Right near the I-71 I-75 split is Big Bone State Park. Yeah I know, the name, but it is a fascinating place to stay. Fossils of Ice Age giant mammals have been found in the salt lick mud. Nice campground, museum, area. Big Bone Lick State Park

Thanks for all the suggestions. Wish I would of followed them for the trip down. Found a RV park right off the highway at the 75/71 junction. Smallest site I have ever had. Our thirty footer was to long for the pull thru site. We are at the Nashville Country RV park today (nice park) and are staying at Winton Woods tomorrow. Our granddaughter we went to visit wore us out. Wish I had her energy. Great trip!

Thanks JimM68. Winton Woods was great. Actually both of the Ohio State parks we have stayed at, Maumee being the other, have been excellant.

Winton Woods is a Hamilton County Park, not state park. I worked across the street from Winton Woods for 30 years.

I stand corrected. That explains why I did'nt get the 25% discount I read that Ohio State Parks are offering in April.
