From Todays Las Vegas Review Journal

MGM Mirage expects to eliminate the recreational vehicle park and the low-rise motel, allowing for 44 acres to be combined with the newly purchased 34 acres.

Yep, its going to happen and a lot sooner then one thinks.

Sure is going to cut down on the places to park an RV when in Las Vegas. Hate to see it happen but greed and the almighty dollar rules all here in Las Vegas.

Means the rates and everything else at Oasis/Sams town and Arizona Charlie's will be going up accordingly.

Clark County (Las Vegas) is not unhappy to see them go either.

We stayed there a few years back and it certainly was convenient to The Strip, but hot as a two-dollar pistol in the summer. I am surprised it lasted as long as it did with the price of real estate in that area.

Too pricey for me anyway. I stay at the KOA on the Boomtown casino grounds. About 4 miles South on the boulevard.

Escrow closes in May on the 68 acreas the sale involves. Sale price was $575 Million.

Latest gossip is that construction/destruction could start any time in the next year.
