Caution, I repeat CAUTION, do NOT purchase a membership at CRA. They are crooks and not nice people. Just a friendly warning.

They tried to rope me in but I smelled a rat, got their free stuff and ran. My deal was at Cherry Valley Crapground. A three hour sales pitch that ended poorly when I said those magic words, "I'LL THINK ABOUT IT". They brought in the T.O. man that cut the price to the bone and offered membership for free in other camping associations. When I still said NO you would have thought I had shot the Pope from all the repugnance and disgust they showed toward me for being such an empty headed loser. Even the secretaries showed their disgust toward us on the way out.
I did however, cash in on their FREE gas deal even though they made it as incovienient as they could.

chuck 1935, good thing you did not buy, because they would have treated you even worse after you gave them the money.

Another hard lesson learned for me, I guess I will just have to suck up my loss.

Smack 2020. I'd say you did a great job. Puts those bandits to shame and they are all red faced down at headquarters, probably having to make plans to really attack the next group they plan to rob. Hope they all had red faces when you left. You should feel good to have alerted the rest of anyone else thinking of even buying anything from them.

We bought a five year membership to give them a try, I did not want to get locked in for a year. We bought at Havasu Springs Resort, Parker, AZ. Membership was $5500, $450 annual maintenance fee, with 2 free weeks and out for 7 days or stay and buy the 7 days for $95. I was also given 30 days free each year to use, so that i would not have to do a buy. Sounded perfect for us, we live 5.5 hours from the RV park, so we figured we could just leave Moho and boat their and drive car back and forth.

Last year was our first summer. 3 times they blocked me from making reservations because they said I was late on my payment. All 3 times were accounting errors on their end, one was only $10 and still blocked us from making reservation. I took a half day off from work, went to the bank and got returned checks and proved that they made the error. They finally, after several calls from me said, you are right, we will lift the block. Never a sorry. Because of that delay, they said the park was full. After several more calls and me arguing, they found us a spot. I chalked it up to, oh well people make mistakes. They refused to honor my 30 days free, because they said they were to crowded. But the funny thing is that they were not to crowded for us to buy a week.

4/1/12, I made reservations to stay for the summer, arrival date 5/3/12. I asked the reservation lady if I could use my free 30 days and said sure, no problem. A week l get an email from CRA, telling me to call Jim, the salesman that sold me the membership. I called Jim the same day and he said, no problems, I took care of it, see you in a few weeks. I again told him we are staying all summer, he said great see you soon.

We arrived on 5/23/12, the girl at the desk said that we only had one week of reservations. We explained to her that our contract said we have 30 days free and that we would be staying all summer. We got a hold of our salesman Jim, who made some calls and talked to the girls at the gate. He again assured us we were fine and said relax and have a great summer.

We stayed 3 days, left the moho and boat behind and went home. Our next trip was Memorial Day weekend. We arrived on Friday memorial day weekend. The the lady at the check in office said "you are not suppose to be here, you don't have reservations, and if you don't leave we will tow your motorhome out of here" now I am fricken mad. I told ther she better bring the police too, because I am not leaving. Apparently the supervisor for reservations got mad at Jim and pulled our reservation out of the system. And now they are claiming they are full. Again Jim gets involved, he told us he spoke to the owners of CRA and Havasu springs resort and they got everything worked out again. I was again told by jim, don't worry, I took car of it.

We go back on 6/15/12 with our 3 granddaughter, ages 4,5,6. I go to check in and, you guessed it we are told we are not in the system and I need to call reservations. I try to get a hold of Jim, but now he is avoiding me. I call reservations and they said they are full for the weekend. We stayed anyway, and we counted 12 empty spots all weekend.

This past Monday after getting home, I call reservations. Now they seem to hate me for some reason. They just kept telling me that they are full. I asked to speak with the owner and they gave my Phil Younis name and number. I called to talk with him and Trish said I have to fax or mail a letter requesting to talk to him. Finally I get to speak to a guy named Randy, who all he wanted to do was argue and tell me to refer to my contract.

Yesterday I called Havasu Springs Resort. They own the Park which sit on BLM land. They have a long term lease. CRA sell the membership, the have some kind of partnership with Havasu Springs Resort. As I talked to the lady, I finally figure this mess out. CRA management, CRA reservations, Jim the salesman and Havasu Springs resort are having a pissing contest on who runs things and me and my family are stuck in the middle getting pissed on for no reason.

I told them they better not touch my RV and that I will be be back on 6/29/12 to meet with them. What a stressful mess. The first day a 3 trips spent arguing with these people. And to kick it off, they already cashed my check for a buy week.
