Colorado Springs Area

Hi all, we are heading to the Colorado Springs area in late July. We have a Class A and towing and we have never been to the area, but would like to stay around the Florence / Canon City vicinity. My question is, are the roads in that area OK for big rigs and do you have a recommendations on an RV park?

Roads are good but only one place in town to stay ?Cannon City RV Park? not much of a park, if I were you I'd head out to The Collegiates near Buena Vista, or up to Leadville to escape the Heat. Hike through the Collegiates and Drive over Independence Pass in the Toad (Length restricted road but OH what a drive)

BOL,

Haven't stayed there yet (be there July 9th) but Mueller State Park just NW of Colorado Springs looks good on Google, and has pull throughs. Cheyenne mountain State Park just south of Colorado Springs is one of Colorado's highly regarded state parks.
