We are fulltiming but need to spend early January thru February in Colorado Springs. What campgrounds does anyone recommend? Thanks.

pennie_gone: Ya might take a look at Garden of the Gods Campground/RV Resort in Colorado Springs near Manitou Springs. GREAT spot but don't know if it's open or not in Jan/Feb. Steve & Lynette

I'll second Garden of the Gods. Stayed there a few years ago and it was very nice. Not spectacular, but conveniently located to the attractions we had interest in.

Garden of the Gods is essentially in town with easy access to just about everything. They do have winter accomodations. Their website lists weekly and monthly rates for winter.

I have only stayed there during the summer so I do not know how easy it is to get in and out of the park should it snow.
