Colter Bay or Headwater's at Flagg Ranch

Plan on spending time in Yellowstone and Tetons next summer. Been there 3 times already but this is a first with a TT. So this is new to us. Which Teton area campground do you recommend Colter Bay or Headwater's at Flagg Ranch. The DW and I are okay without the full hook-ups but with 4 kids (two teenage daughters!!!!!) thinking we better shoot for the full hook-up. Or..... Somewhere else? Thinkin about 3 nights down in the Tetons.
Thank you.

Also plan on heading home to PA taking the southern route. I-80. Planning on a few interesting stops along the way as this is new for us as we usually have gone 90 and 94. Any good stops to visit and RV areas. We can boondock for a night no problem so full hook-up not needed.

Well did more research and pretty much ruled out Flagg Ranch.

Still. Any ideas heading back east on I-80?

Why? Thought about staying there myself when we get out there.

Riburian- we've did a lot of the stuff throughout the I-94 and 90 corridors. I was looking for some stuff heading back on I-80.

Zig-Why did we rule out Flagg? Well, Coulter is more centrally located and I've read quite a few reviews about Flagg that aren't all that great. Deep ruts, sewer intakes 18" up from ground level, lots of maintenance needed, etc.

I agree. If you can get a site at Colter RV Park it's much better than Flagg Ranch.

Flag Ranch is like a parking lot compared to Colter Bay. Colter Bay is magnitudes nicer, has more amenities and is and better located.

We stayed at Headquarters last year and while it's nothing special it was okay for us. There was no cell service or cable there and since we were under trees, our roof top sat wouldn't work and it was too far to string the carryout antenna.

While it's only electric and only in one loop, Gros Ventre between Teton and Jackson is great. You're close to the Moose entrance to Teton and only a few miles from Jackson which is worth visiting. The Moose-Wilson Road is a gorgeous drive with the option of seeing wildlife. You are also close to Kelly and Slide Lake which is great day trip. Mormon Row is a few minutes away and a nice stop. The downside to Gros Ventre is that there are no reservations.
