Anyone have experience with RV parks/campgrounds in or around these two locations. I found a couple Googling and I get worried when I read, ''... and mobile home park". Within 10-15 miles of RiverWalk in Columbus is fine.
Not sure of the exact date, but late October sometime. We have a grand daughter who plays HS softball and they are going to the state championship tournament there. Would like to see her pitch one last time.

Roosevelt State park NE of Columbus is next to Callaway Gardens and a very nice park.
Sothof Phenix on US 431 and then South on 165is a COE park right on the river.
I like both for short stays as they have WE but no sewer. Yes on dump station.
The COE park has washer and dryer at the bath house.

I have been to both parks with a 36 foot class a and no problem with site size. I think Roosevelt would be more popular and possible neccessitate a reservation.

thanks Dag, that is exactly what I am looking for. We found a place in Columbus, not far from where the games will be played, but when I looked at it on Google Earth, it changed my mnd completely!
Now we just need to get through the upcoming games this week so we can get to the state finals. G'daughter has a win/loss record of 15 or 16 to 1. What an arm that child has and what a defense she has behind her!
