Yes, that was my point. By saying this site would "fill the gap" that the other don't include. This site would still be quicker than going to state, county, BLM, etc individually.

There is no one book or website or app that lists all campgrounds. I have discovered campgrounds that I can't find in any directory.

Microsoft Streets and Trips software listed everything, as far as I could tell, within a selected radius from a desired point on the map. Unfortunately they no longer sell it. I don't believe any parks or CGs paid them to be included. I still use it because there does not seem to anything new...anywhere.

Annually I get a GS Directory, PA Directory and KOA Directory and I've used the GS Trip Planner. None of them are complete or up to date. I booked KOA's and on arrival they were no longer a KOA Park, same with Passport America. Ultimately I keep on going back to Google Maps. I put in the general location where I want to end up at. It gives me the number of hours that I will be on the road and I figure from there how many hours I want to drive and divide into the total. So if it's 10 hours and I want to drive 5 hours I zoom in to the middle of the route. I then Click on the "X" in the search box - the map stays the same and I type in and search for "rv parks and campgrounds" and I get a bunch of red dots representing campgrounds in the area I want to stop. If you click on the dots you will get information on the campground including ratings and links to website. Often I find campgrounds not listed in the GS Trip Planner. The real deciding factor for me is ratings, then cost (with discount). Of course this sometimes changes when it is just an overnight stop while heading to a destination then I am more likely to put price over ratings. In the end I put the information in the GS Trip Planner as I can upload to my GPS.
