Coos Bay/North Bend, OR park recommendations

Heading up to visit with the kids for a couple weeks and to watch the grandson play football! We have never stayed in any parks in this area! Any one have any recommendations?

Sunset Bay State Park. Short walk to beach. Cell coverage on AT&T was near non- existing, as the park is set back and surrounded by hills and trees.

The RV park at the Mill Casino is nice. Can't remember rate, maybe $30ish/night need players card. Full hookups, some drive through. Some highway noise but not bad. Also have large dry area might charge for it now, they had problem with several drifters.

Plus is that the casino is happy to take your money.

Another vote for the Mill Casino. sunset Bay is an older park so if you have a large rig it makes some sites unusable and/or difficult to get into.

I can't remember how far it is from Coos Bay, I think only about 20-30 minutes, but Bandon State park is really nice with full hookup spots. They have nice big spots, nice and quiet, nice walking paths to the beach and lighthouse. It was relatively cheap, I think about $30-40 a night. The Mill is nice too but does get a little windy.

Bullard's Beach State Park is great and close to Coos Bay.

There's isn't a Bandon State Park. It's Bandon Natural Area and no camping.

We'd take an Oregon state park over a private park any day. They are awesome!

Sorry, that's the one I meant Bullards State Beach which is right next to the City of Bandon, an easy walk for some great seafood.

Agree with others re: The Mill Casino - nice place and convenient to Coos Bay. Just a little bit north of Coos Bay near Reedsport is Winchester Bay RV Resort - we stayed there 5-nights a couple of months ago and loved it.

Coos Bay/No. Bend RV Park

I just wanted everyone to know we located, quite by accident, a great little park in Coos Bay called Midway RV Park! It's so clean, quiet and has all the amenities except cable TV! The public restrooms are clean and well maintained with awesome showers and handicapped access in at least two (there are quite a few)! It's a bit hidden away which I kind of like and everyone has been friendly and helpful! Got laundry done today in their laundromat and I just really think this is heads above the Mill Casino! If you are in the area, might want to try them out!

A year ago, we had stayed at Oceanside in Charleston for 2 weeks and moved closer to our kids at Alder Acres RV Park on Ocean Blvd SE in Coos Bay. We stayed there for 2 weeks. Alder Acres is a nice, clean RV Park. We would return to Alder Acres to be closer to the kids. Oceanside is great and walking distance to the beach.
