Recommendations for Corpus Christi???? Looking at campground reviews, none get a strong endorsement. I also wonder if they are up and running. After I get a recommendation, I'll call and check.

The only recommendation that I could make would be the Naval Air Station, but you have to be retired military, or DOD connected. With that said, we went on a drive through of many of the CG's in the Corpus area and could not honestly say we would stay at any of them.

Drive up the road 20 miles or so and look around the Aransas Pass area. It's a short distance from Corpus. Also look at the Rockport area.

Corpus CG's did not impress us except for the military Shields RV Park.

Last July I stayed at Pioneer Beach Resort. 1-888-480-3246. Will handle any rig and It is on Mustang Island !00yards from the water. Nice park.

I'll second Pioneer Beach Resort. If you need to be close to Corpus I'd suggest the park across the bay in Portland, can't recall the name right now.
