Corpus Christi area, March

I'd like to head for this area in March. How bad is it for spring break activities? I am not a adverse to the fruit of the vine, but have to admit I do not care for rambunctious college students either. My partying like that are a few years past. I'd like to do a little fishing and simply relaxing. Open to other suggestions, as long as it is warm.

We used to live down there, March can still be cold, but that is relative to where you are from. Spring break is plenty busy , but CRP is not S Padre Island. Look up the coast a bit, Port Aransas, Port O Connor, Palacios. All prime fishing destinations without the hotels that draw the kid crowds.

Take a look at Rockport. Nice little community just around the corner from Corpus. Spent a couple months there and loved it.

I get the relative temp part, it is 1 degree here this AM. Our start time is delayed again, looks like latter part of March/early April due to commitments on the home front. Thank you for the input.

Alf, Come on down, all spring is nice along the coastal bend. And you'll see an amazing show of wildflowers all the way from Texarkana. If you like fishing, the bays from Matagorda all the way down to South Padre are fantastic. I came down from Ohio in 1973,
I haven't had a Yankee winter since.
