Have any of you CRA members been to El Golfo in Mexico? Is it safe in these days and times? Have you ever had any problems getting there and back? Would you go back? I am retiring and looking for some change, but don't want to loose my head.

Fellow I work with commutes to Monterrey every two weeks as his family is there. He said that Monterrey is not as safe as it was in the past and he does not like anything along the border. He is a Mexican National and does not feel safe in his own country. That is sad.
