Critque my travel plan from CA to NC via Yellowstone

I think i have it mapped out. What do you think?

Starting in SoCal, take 395 to Mammoth Lakes. At Mono Lake take 167/339 to Fallon, NV. And then 95 to Boise. From Boise take the 20 to Yellowstone. From Yellowstone, I90-87-90 to Spearfish, SD. I90-29 to Nebraska City, NE. I29-70-64-57-24 to Grand River, KY. I24-80 to Asheville.

How are these roads for DP with toad? Between Yellowstone and NC I have an extra day. Anything of interest, other than the largest ball of thread. Other suggestions?

We just did this July 16, we were in Rock Springs WY for the National High school Rodeo Finals,,, but, anywhay,,,, Run through Jackson Hole, Stop and take your toad into the Gros Ventre (pronounced Gro Vont) Mountains it is more than beautiful, you can go back to Crystal Creek which is about 10 -11 mile into the back country but the dirt road is great and the views are spectacular! I promise it worth your while....

Unless you definitely want to go your planned route (and I don't see Hwy 20 coming out of Boise, ID), check out this route.

It's 815 miles - Bishop to W. Yellowstone.

395 to Bishop, CA to Hwy 6/376 to Eureka, NV. North on 278 to I-80 a short distance.

North on 93 at Wells, NV. 93 to 74/50 to I-84 at Twin Falls, ID. You don't have to go into Boise.

I-84/86 to I-15 north to Hwy 20 at Idaho Falls and continue on 20 to West Yellowstone.

We've driven this route with our 40' motorhome. Have a good trip!

Ah, Jackson Hole. I spent a lot of winter time there but it was several years ago. Never been there without snow.
