Here a few tease pics of our experience on the Wilderness Loop here at the Custer State Park.

We're staying at Custer's Gulch CG which is right outside the entrance to the Park.

Hope you get time to drive the Needles Highway while you are in the area.

Gary, we did Wilderness Loop,Catherdral Spires and Needles Highway yesterday...We did Rushmore and Crazy Horse today and then on the way back to the bus we passed a helicopter tour, so we just HAD to do it....AWESOME!!!

In typical "Bob" fashion, we did the "Ultimate Tour" which took us over ALL of the area sites...It lasted about twenty five minutes and I got some AWESOME shots...My kids LOVED it!!

I'm working on MS Trips this evening so I'll have to get the pictures up in the next few days...

Bob,
We were pulling up the mountains coming out of Rapid City two days ago when we saw you go blasting by with the LA and Hummer behind. That LA eats the mountains alive! After Gillette, we went to Cody, then Medora and are now at Rafter J near Hill city. Hopefully, we will see you in Branson in about a week.

The last time we were in the park(June 05) there was a hailstorm. We were stopped at the rest area atop the mountian when quarter-sized hail pelted everything. By the time we got down to the corkscrew(360*) bridge it was a foot deep alongside the road. Two motorcyclists were hiding under a large fir tree.

Hatris, Welcome to irv2.com and a great family of RVers! See you at ABC!

OOOPS!!

We tried to get into Rafter J and ended up getting into Custer's Gulch...
We're sitting in Sioux City,IA in the Sams Club lot and will pull into HWH in Moscow,IA tomorrow afternoon for our appointment on Monday...
I'm wishing I could've found a campground to get into late this evening as going into Sam's Club cost me a cool $150 bucks!!

EVERYONE needs those MEGA sized cereal boxes and condiments!!
