Cycling in Colorado

We've decided to hang up the racing bikes and start acting our age. So we got a couple hybrids to ride the paths & trails.

We are fairly familiar with the riding available around Breckenridge & Frisco, but not on top of the game in other areas. There are both great paved and off road trails in that area.

So what are the good RV spots that have good cycling options?

Sorry can't help answer your question, but I was wondering what you chose as hybrid bikes.... we are thinking of going that way pretty soon.

I liked the Cannondale frame a bit better, but we got a good deal on the Trek 8.5 Dual Sport so couldn't pass that up. The one thing I really did like about them is they come with 38mm tires, so they work a bit better on a trail than the conventional hybrid.

I like the Cannondale frames as well. I was too old and stiff for my road bike so I sold it and bought a Cannondale hybrid for local riding and my commute to work (I've since retired &#129303. Love the bike, but it doesn't have 38mm tires that your Trek has 😡. That is a nice looking bike!

Happy trails!

I've bicycled across the state a number of times, East to West and South to North, in addition to living in Colorado for many years. The whole state is cycling friendly, except for Black Hawk, which banned bicycling (the only town in the US to try doing so). Denver has the highest concentration of bike paths but there are many other towns/locations that have great riding opportunities.
