Daisy State Park, Arkansas

Looking very closely at Daisy for a late October trip. Would like some info from those who have been there about site selection. We will be traveling with another couple and we will each be hauling 30' "5th Wheels". Will be there for about a week and would like something on the water (for the 'yaks). Being that late in the year, shade shouldn't be a big issue, though it is always nice to camp under a canopy of trees. Have heard that "on water" sites in section "E" may be best but don't know for sure. Any input? Thanks for the help and,

Happy Camping!

Water levels are EXTREMELY low right now in this area, leading me to believe that waterfront may not, in fact, be waterfront, but may be 30+ feet away. I just found this on the Daisy State Park website:
Due to current dry conditions, a county judge-issued burn ban is in effect at Daisy State Park. Campers should take note that while this burn ban is in effect, no wood fires are allowed. Only gas grills or charcoal fires in grills are allowed until the burn ban is lifted. Many other counties in Arkansas are also under burn bans at this time affecting other Arkansas state parks. These counties are noted on the Arkansas Forestry Commission website at: www.arkfireinfo.org
