Dakotah Meadows in March?

Has anyone stayed at Dakotah Meadows campground next to Mystic Lake Casino, in Shakopee, MN during the winter months?

We are getting our house ready to put on the market and should be ready by March 1st. We want to move out at that point but in MN in march, there are not too many options for winter camping. Most campgrounds don't open until sometime in March. We want to stay close, at least for awhile, so we can make sure the house continues to look nice, or that we haven't forgotten to do anything to/for the house.

Just wondering how difficult it is to camp there in the colder months? We went through there today and there were 3 or 4 rigs all tucked in for the winter.

Paula, You may want to see if you can find "Petro" and drop him a private message. He's the mayor in Weyauwega, WI and there's a good chance that he may have camped there at some point.

We have stayed there in summer months, but never cold season. Don't see why you could not do so if you prepare properly. I know you want to stay close in, but many stay all winter at Grand Casino RV park in Hinckley as well.

We stayed at Dakotah Meadows last spring and summer a few times, our son lived in Shakopee, I think they turn off the water to "some" of the site, why not give them a call and a and ask, other than that you should be fine.
Not sure if it's too far for you but Hinckley does have water to a bunch of sites year round.
