Daytona 500

We're going to the Big Race with a infield--West Horseshoe, turn 1--site. It's our first time at this Race. Appreciate any recommendations. Boon docking just Sat and Sunday., departing Monday.
We've never really dry camped in the past. Thanks in advance!

It is a great way to enjoy the race as you can make your own meals and listen to the practice while sitting out at your camper. You will want to make sure you have working CO2 alarms as there will be a lot of people who will bring older, smoking generators that can easily get in your rig. Give yourself plenty of time to get into the infield as traffic is crazy. If you don't want to cook you can walk across the street from the grandstands to plenty of choices. You will meet lots of fun, happy people who have been coming for many years. Make sure to get out and walk around in the evening as you will see some amazing set ups.

Thanks. I didn't think about the other generators. I'll bring an extra detector.

Yes-- a few years ago at the July race, some guys came in at night and set up a portable junk-o generator at the front of our motorhome... we woke up to the sound the CO detector going off. Needless to say, I went out and moved his generator away from our coach...
