Any recommendations for camping at daytona. Is there much difference between the different infield packages or is it a preference about what turn you want to be on? I know some have hookups. The ones that typically are for the 10 days and not the weekend.

We stayed in the lake Lloyd area when we went. It's paved and has water and electricity. Also, it's fenced off from the other areas with security so only campers staying in that area have access. Easy to walk to the grandstands they have set up on the infield in turns one and two. Also if you have a towed vehicle it's very easy to leave the infield to shop or eat in the area around Daytona.

The preferred spaces that are around $2,000 are close enough to the track to see the race from your roof, the ones for $1,400.00 & less you need to buy grand stand tickets also.
The only area with full hookups is Lake Loyd & there around $2,700 but they are sold out
I've been camping at the Casino on Williams Blvd & taking the shuttle
You can stay there all week & move to the infield on Friday & I think the infield space is $400 for the weekend.

The last few times we have been there, we stayed at Racetrack RV (Racetrack RV) - just outside the track, power and water with a pumpout service. Very easy and short walk to the grandstands
