Dear God I just shot my eye out!

The DW and I have been talking about taking a run up to the Cleveland area after Thanksgiving to see the Christmas Story House:

- A Christmas Story House - Ralphie’s House Restored to its A Christmas Story Splendor

It's not a long run and would be totally dependant on the weather. Has anyone visited there and would there be ANY overnight camping accomodations available (other than Walmart) in November?

We have camped Thanksgiving weekend the last 3 of 7 years.

You have either Punderson State Park about 25 miles east of Cleveland. They have water available, dump and a heated showerhouse. The electric is only 20 amp.

The other choice is Findley State Park about 35 miles SW of Cleveland. they have water available and dump station, but no showerhouse.

If you don't need a showerhouse or water to fill your tank, West Branch has electric sites open. They are 35 miles SE of Cleveland.

Both Findley and west Branch have good 50 amp power. Punderson's 20 amp. service is kind of iffy if your trying to run a small ceramic heater. But they are the closest to Xmas House....

These are just 2 state parks that have water available to fill your tanks.

They do have the "Major Award" in the window along with most of the business locations near the house. You even buy one is some of the gift shops near the house.

I already have my own Major Award. It even came in its own wooden crate. It's full size and I'm pretty sure it would sit nicely on the dashboard. DW would not be happy.

KOA near Cleveland was great. We were there in August. Went to Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
