Death Valley

My wife and I went to Death Valley last weekend for 4 days. We went to see the flowers, buy dates, soak in the hot springs and see Marta at the Armagosa Valley Opera House. We camped at Tecopa Springs where we enjoyed the hot springs. Here are some pics.

"That's no lady, that's my wife". Sorry, had to do it. No that's not a mirage thats the salt flats at Bad Water, the lowest point in the US. Behind her is Telescope Peak.

For those of you who have no idea what the Armagosa Valley Opera House is all about, you can look for their web site on line and be amazed at this 85 year young woman and the story of her life as a prima ballerina in Death Valley. Here's a photo of just part of the inside of the Opera House, hand painted by this amazing woman.
