I've stayed there many times from Nov to May and it's nice, often windy but still worth it. Been going regularly since '66.

Scotties=yes
Badwater=yes
Dante's View at sunrise/set is amazing.
Artists Drive too!!

If you have a gravel road capable towed it really gets fun. Bing some maps and plan.

In Jan. the nights will be cool/cold but days can be very nice in the 70's. Be sure to take the Scotty Castle tour!! Do the "castle" not the underground one for your first time! Have a good trip.

Weather will be very nice; warm during the day and cool to cold at night. Venture a mile or two from Furnace Creek after dark, pull over off the road, turn out the lights, get out and look up. Amazing sight.

Be careful going onto many of the dirt roads. They are populated by tire eating rocks. Many very sharp, like razor blades and they are plentiful.

Biggest problem I have with Furnace Creek is the distance to a Wal Mart. Weather is good.
