Denver area ....

Any recommendations for an RV park in the Denver, CO area? Have a 45 ft MH and towing a Dodge Ram. Need full hookups and dog friendly. Thanks, Lynn

Have heard good things about Dakota Ridge RV park in Golden, might google them and see. Otherwise Ft Collins KOA is pretty nice I hear too.

Dakota Ridge is nice, you could also check out one of our 2 area state parks, Chatfield and Cherry Creek, both can take your moho and have full hook up sites. What part of Denver do you want to be in?

We have been going to Cherry Creek State Park that past couple of years. Going again in September for family visit. Nice reservoir and great level sites with full hookups. Deer and turkey come right up to your site so this may excite your dog. Coyotes at night to keep you company as well. Located in the SE area of Denver vicinity. Here is a looking out the windshield photo a couple of years.

Thanks ... I've checked on the website for Cherry Creek before I posted this as I had read on here that it was really nice. No availability for the dates I need. I will check out Dakota Ridge ..... We already are scheduled to be at the KOA in Fort Collins for a couple of days prior.

We've stayed twice each in Dakota Ridge and Chatfield State Park and Chatfield if far and away the better option - large sites, lots of space between sites, all utilities work well. Dakota Ridge went downhill between visits. It is tight, crowded, and expensive - not worth the cost, but there aren't a lot of options. Chatfield is often hard to get into on weekends without reservations made well in advance. Below is my blog report on each place:
