Has anyone been here? Pros and cons?

We stayed there in early Sept. and really liked it. We were only there as a stop over, and hope to go back soon when we can stay longer. Nice sized sites and very clean, very good hiking trails.

I live about 40 miles from desoto park.It is a great place.if you plan on going there soon you need to call ahead and make reservations. It gets full this time of year. Good luck

Stayed there this past June. Excellent, large, wooded and private sites. You cannot reserve a specific site but drive through and pick a site. You do need reservations, especiially on weekends. There are 'buddy' sites and a number of pull throughs.

Our favorite! Big level sites, newly redone bathhouses. Great walking trails, nice pool when it's warm enough and close to Mentone, AL and Chatanooga, TN if ya want to get to civilization!

We stayed there last month for three days on our way to Gatlinburg. Very nice and clean campgrounds, make sure you go to the water falls. We had a not so good meal at the park restaurant. Overall we would stay there again. Lots of wildlife in the area.
