DFW campground recommendations?

Looking for a nice RV Resort in the DFW area. I heard that the Vinyards in Grapevine is nice but they don't have availability on my dates. Any other suggestions?

It doesn't need to be right in DFW, an hour outside of town is fine.

Thanks!

There is one fairly close to Texas Motor Speedway called Northlake Village, that seems to be pretty nice. Have not stayed there but did a drive thru to check it out. Down south is Texan RV ranch, which is across from my storage space that looks nice. The best comments I hear from a couple Fulltimers is TreeTops in Arlington.

Just stayed at Hidden Cove and Marina on Lake Louisville while visiting son #2 couple weeks back. Nice campground near Frisco...full hookups w/some 50A service. They even have some shade trees if ya like.

I've recently stayed at Northlake Village. It is a nice park, clean and easy to access location. They have a few spots for short term visitors. Its a nice place to stay if you have other activities in the area, but not a destination. It served our purpose for a one night, and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Which side of the metroplex do you want to be on as THAT may be your hour+ drive across town if on the "wrong side"
but there are LOT's of parks as the map below shows...

Probably won't be going back to:
Seagoville, Mansfield, Plano, Northlake village, Sandy Lake, fort worth, Grand Prarie

May go back to these if need be:
Cedar Hill State Park, lewisville lake park, North Texas Jellystone Park (if kids along)
Pilot Knoll,
Arlington (Texas ) - Campground Reviews - RV Park Reviews
Frisco

Certainly would go back to The Vineyards, Mill Creek RV Ranch in Canton,

Cowtown RV Park in Aledo for West side of Ft Worth. Not fancy, but workable and the right price. Slim pickin's and really depends on what part of the metroplex you're after.
