Door County Wisconsin

Hello All:

Anyone have any suggestions for the best campground in Door County, Wisconsin? We stayed there a number of years ago (don't remember the campground we used), but I'm sure things have changed since then.

Gettin too old to remember names, BUT, there's a great campground just North of Sturgeon Bay about 5 or 8 miles on 42. Good base campground for touring the whole area. Think it's P.A., or CtoC.

Thanks for the information. I looked it up and it appears the name of the campground is the Egg Harbour Campground (name changed recently from Camp Tel). We have booked time with them the week of July 4th and I will post a review after our visit.

Please do post your thoughts. We are planning a trip to door co this fall. Been looking at Peninsula State Park but they seem to be booked a year in advance for most weekends and holidays.

In my research I also found another campground in that area that looked promising. It was Wagon Trail Campground.

We've always enjoyed the Wagon Trail, and a short walk away there is a nice restaurant, bakery (attached to a hotel of the same name, different owners), and a boat dock, where you can rent a boat. It's Farther north than most and we feel tends to be less hectic.
