Hersh, I personally have not been there but I know people that has seen it. They say the campground is poorly designed and the sites are narrow and small. They said they wouldn't stay there.
They recommend Cascade Lake Recreation Area if you need full hook-ups but if you didn't Davidson River Campground in the Pisgah Forest was the place.

Directions: I-26, Exit #40 (old exit # 9), go Rte. 280 towards Brevard (15 miles) then right on Hwy. 276 North. Accessible off Blue Ridge Parkway as well near milepost #412 towards Brevard.

Cascade Lake Recreation Area has more than 160 camping sites on two lakes adjacent to the Dupont State Forest. Most sites have full hook-ups.
The beach and lake area are exclusively for the use of the campers. Boat motors are limited to 12 hp on the lake. Campers can fish, swim, canoe or kayak on the lake. No jet skis are allowed. Pedal boats are available to rent. There is a small convenience store and laundry available on site.
The campground and recreation area are near Pisgah Forest and Brevard, NC. Directions from I-26: Take exit #40 (old exit # 9) off I-26 onto Hwy. 280. Go to Hwy. 64 (east). Go 2.2 miles to Crab Creek Road and turn right (south). Go 2.2 miles to Cascade Lake Road and go right (west) 1.0 miles to Little River Campground Road. Go left to the end of the road.
