Duluth, MN Bound

Hello RV friends.

We will be heading to Duluth, MN the first week of August this year.

I was lookig for some camp ground recommendations please.

I have a 40' motor home and tow.

I stay at camp grounds with full hook ups as after 30 years in the Army - I no longer "camp"! LOL I want all the creature comforts a FHU site brings.

I have checked Camp ground Reviews site but thought I'd check here before I went and made a reservation.

Thanks in advance for your help and thoughts.

g

There is a Marina near the Arial Lift bridge that has summer RV camping. It is mostly a parking lot with hook ups, but it is located right down town within walking distance to the shipping canal and restaurants. I never stayed there, but it is on my list.

We have stayed there, a couple of times. One of the most interesting campgrounds ever. Very unique location and experience. Fun to watch the big ships come and go. And itís near the things youíll want to see while youíre there.

If you don't mind being a little further up the North Shore there is a great campground just north of Two Harbors called Burlington Bay Campground. We stayed there for about a week in early September and really enjoyed it. We were in the campsites furthest from the entrance backed up to Lake Superior and had a great view of the lake! We have a 38' fifth wheel and had plenty of room.
