Durham NC park recommendation for Class A

Looking for a recommendation in the Durham NC area. Class A and would like FHU at 50 Amp. Pull through and EZ in and out would be nice.

Durham NC park recommendation for Class A

Don't know how close you need, but there's not much around Raleigh or Durham for large RVs. There's a great State Park- Falls Lake- about 12-15 east of Durham. We used to go there very frequently when we lived in north Raleigh and had a pop up. (About 15 min from our house.) But like so many SPs, 30A only, and no sewer.

For your purposes I'd suggest Jones Station RV Park. About 21-22 west of Durham, a couple of miles off I-40. It's only about a few years old. Haven't stayed there, but had reservation a couple of years ago. Checked it out pretty well, talked to the guy on the phone, but then had to change plans for schedule reasons.

Birchwood is right in Durham, very convenient. We looked at it 4 years ago, and it seemed a little hinky - lots of ill-kept permanents-- but maybe acceptable as an alternate. We wound up going elsewhere. I've read since that it has deteriorated.

Spring Hill Park in Chapel Hill, NC is very nice. I think they were mostly backins. You will want to call as far in advance as you can. It is hard to get into because most are there for close proximity to UNC and Duke hospitals. Owner is very strict on noise and speed through park. We drove through Birchwood in Durham and we didn't feel comfortable staying there.
Otherwise, I can't think of any campgrounds near Durham other than Lake Jordan area and I have not stayed in any of those.
