East Bound, Bend Oregon to...??

Coming north out of Klamath Falls to Bend Oregon. From Bend will be heading east... Like to hear any suggestions of places to visit as we progress east... We're driving a tall big rig (45 feet tag and 13 feet tall).

Thanks in advance for the suggestions...

Ken,

Not sure from your post which road you intend on going east from Bend? Not much to see east of Bend on Hwy. 20. A little more scenic on Hwy. 26 east of Redmond, OR which takes you through the Ochoco National Forest, skirts the John Day Fossil beds and more. Are you heading to Ontario, OR / Boise, ID direction or back south towards Nevada?

On to Burns then to Crane. 26 Miles or so East of Burns is Crystal Crane hot springs. Is aways a good stop and either the hot pond or the private hot tub rooms. Quiet at night and the natural Spring water. Not much else there but a good desert stop.

If you are headed down to Idaho, Hagerman is a great place to visit and there is a wonderful RV park called Hagerman RV village. You can spend a few days here from looking at the National Fossil beds to Balance Rock and more!

Boise and Coeur d Alene Idaho are both interesting places. We like Blackwell Island RV Park in Coeur D Alene very nice big sites all extras. Also could continue on to Black Hills area in SD lots to see and do there or head soth to Ut and CO Plenty of choices.
