Eastern PA Private Campground Recommendation

We are looking for a private campground in eastern Pennsylvania (East of Harrisburg) that also has hiking, bicycling right from the campground.

We do have reservations for French Creek State park, but we found out that there is a two dog limit per site, so I guess that counts us out of state parks in Pennsylvania .

PA. has been slowly expanding its state parks to pets. But, most still do not offer any pet sections to camp in. I think 10 years ago of the 140 parks, 13 offered pet sections. And the ones that do have limitations. We camp in the Northern and Western PA. parks, so I can't help ya anywhere in the eastern section.

Try this site www.pacamping.com I found quite a few campgrounds on it,the site seperates the state in areas NE,SE, etc. check it out

We are having a guys weekend either the weekend before or after July 4th. to Driftstone on the Deleware, I found it on the above site,only 80 miles away.

Thanks for the replies.. we found a campground and its only about a hour away.

Morris County New Jersey has a very nice park system.
We are going to stay at Mahlon Dickerson Reservation. It looks great for us since we never use some of the more popular amenities at campgrounds. We just really love to hike and be outdoors.
